Anyone ever heard anything about these?
Last night we were having a bonfire and 3 drones flew over our neighborhood, one after another about 1 minute apart. It was about 9:30 pm 20 miles outside of a major midwest city. Normally I would think someone simply got a nice drone using their stimulus, but there were 3, they were moving way faster than a typical hobbyist drone, all of them had one constant blue light and never circled back, just disappeared in the distance. These things were moving really fast, but we could still barely hear their rotors. I would compare their speed to lifeline helicopters that have flown over in the past.
There’s an army base probably 15 mi south, but idk. The base has plenty of mileage and controlled airspace for training, so it wouldn’t make sense for them to potentially loose one in a residential area.

Lol. I know it’s so tin foil, but it’s fun stuff. I’ve never seen anything cool in the sky besides a shooting star.
We had a Craigslist robbery shooting in the next neighborhood over once and the kids and I were listening to a police scanner (they saw on SM). The state police deployed drones and we could see them. The guys on the scanner per the chatter had to keep dropping the drones to throw new batteries in every 20 minutes or so.
Nah. I think if it’s law enforcement they’re looking for indoor pot grows, people breaking into cars late, active investigation into someone’s whereabouts/specific car, etc. I guess it could be an FBI like investigation and they’re tailing someone. Our local rural/regional airport was one of those listed years ago that had FBI surveillance runs using Cessna planes. We also have a serious problem with Meth trafficking in the area as well. Who knows. Probably just someone with lots of time and money to spare playing around.
