if you look at them they are synthetic thread, you can see the helical structure just like any other manufactured thread looks under magnification.

it's probably a synthetic fiber, like nylon, which is why it "reacts to heat"

the part that looks goofy is you are seeing what a micro bristle swab looks like for the very first time. you're used to seeing cotton swabs, not tiny little bottle brushes.

also, this isn't some super magnification going on here, these are all things you can see with a simple magnifying glass... like on a helping hands or a jewlers loop

look at the scale of the whole brush vs what it looks like under "magnification"... you can tell it's not that strong just based on perspective. if you use a handheld magnifier you can see the threads from your gloves, you can even see the bristles on the swab... what you won't see unless you use strong magnification is the "organic material" it's picking up.

claiming these swabs "don't pick up anything but leave behind burrowing worms" is a ridiculous statement.

just think about that for a minute... if you jammed this thing into your snot hole, it's going to have snot on it when you pull it out.

the bristles of the brush aren't powered by anything, they can't burrow into anything under their own motive.

you're just seeing a bristle brush shedding bristles into what you scrub it against.

FOR CLARIFICATION... there is nothing saying the swabs aren't pre-contaminated with something biological to get people sick. I will never rule that out as a possibility. but i can use logic and reasoning to say it's ridiculous to claim these things are carriers for some sort of nano-technology intelligent worms that burrow into your face hole.
