Ugh. Thank you. People need to stop idolizing billionaires. When you defend someone, you don’t hold them accountable; and when you don’t hold someone with that much potential to control shit accountable, you’ll let them do anything.
His StarLink is the elite end game. Global internet for global crypto currency. Robot control grid for the Boston Dynamics robot economy. Think of SkyNet. That is Elon.
Whenever I discuss chipping people oftentimes the response is "I'll just cut it out of my hand". OK, what happens when it's mandated to place it in your skull at birth, and starlink means there is no place on earth to hide from being tracked.
Well I mean for one thing it won't be mandatory if it ever even comes out, in fact it will almost certainly be wildly unaffordable for the vast majority of people.
I also don't see it becoming popular or widespread unless they very quickly reach the absolute limit of the technology's potential, because having something in your brain that will be obsolete in a year when they come out with a new model sounds like a bad idea.
In fact I don't think a profit driven business could ever successfully roll out this kind of tech, it would have to be like in certain sci-fi shows where their technology seems to just be the same everywhere without any branding or anything and when there's an infrequent upgrade everything everywhere gets upgraded.
Maybe if it was like an equal partnership between all the major tech corporations so that it was cross compatible with everything and then sold for no profit as a sort of loss leader because then people would buy the other stuff that it's compatible with. I don't know, I just don't see this becoming widespread anytime soon and probably not a mark of the beast scenario.
My two cents is that China, Russia, and who knows who else have already begun research on neural implantation. It is inevitable, and unstoppable. We are made in the image of God, so why would we not be driven to create, destroy, and change the world around us. Technology always has positives and negatives. Helping the blind to see, lame to walk, etc. will be positive. Thought control, tracking, implantation of memories will be negative. Any fan of cyberpunk will know the future will be scary, dystopian, and quite frankly, boring. My concerns are there, as with many of you, but i refuse to be wholly pessimistic about this. I won’t get the implants, but many will. My hope is that the world will be a varied place, and not under a universal system of control. There are “good guy” billionaires out there, and maybe Elon is not Batman, but it would be foolish to let a nation like China conquer and administer emerging technologies that it could use to dominate the world.
But he is the good lad who loves DOGE and buys Gamestonk. no?
I was cynical. I have said this a long time ago.
He is a down to earth persona of Bill gates and cannot be trusted.

Elon Musk seems like "good cop" to Bill Gates "bad cop" if you know what I mean...
