The clinical definition of covid is "atypical pneumonia" which means pneumonia caused by an "unkown pathogen" i.e. still pneumonia. It's just pneumonia, re-branded. The "novel virus" bit is bullshit, a marketing scheme created to sell a pandemic. The idea that it was caused by a mysterious unknown pathogen is what inspired the crazed experimentation with various toxic anti-viral drugs in high doses. this prematurely killed many who may have pulled through and lived a little longer (and in some cases, a lot longer) had it been treated like ordinary pneumonia.
