Was Trump "The Mule" from Asimov's Foundation? The Mule was the unpredictable variable in the equations of history and the greatest threat to the Seldon Plan. He disrupts the inevitability of the continued evolution of the First Foundation and potential early ending of the Dark Age. (www.theburningplatform.com)

Lol. This was one of the first things I thought when the movement really started picking up. There's always going to be an excession event at some point in any system.

Speaking of excession, apparent Musk just tweeted that very word which is most probably a reference to the Iain M. Banks book.

An excession, as per the book, is an event/entity that is so far put of all existing context that there is no reference for dealing with it or interacting with it. Its motivations, interactions, and capabilities are entirely unfathomable and it thus causes chaos.

Musk is probably referring to cryptocoin...not that it's a good or bad thing, just that it's entirely alien to any previous concepts of money or economics. I think he's betting on it just because it stands to totally disrupt the status quo. It's like betting on mammals during the age of the dinosaurs.
