What is going on at the CDC? Is this normal reporting lag? More in comments.

I put this together from the data you can find at https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm.
There's a +610713 death count increase from the previous 5 year average for all deaths. I can't find a break down of leading causes of death that has been updated. I expect suicides to be up but auto crashes to be down. There's more strangeness on the CDC page.
But what is going on since the Electoral College vote? Is this a normal reporting lag? Is the CDC manipulating numbers?
Other than the testing and reporting changes that have lowered death rates for covid, from the private for profit company that is the CDC? Not a damn thing. Just business as usual.
The all deaths is "ALL", including cancer, etc.
Yep. Still no reason to trust any reporting on the part of the CDC. Take those two hump for example that took place in 2020... Other sources have reported no increase in deaths, so where did those deaths come from? My assumption, early projected reporting, leading to the current unexplained drop off.
Do I have evidence for this? No. I can only speculate on this nonsense.
One of the leading causes of death was doctor visits. Less visits, less death.
Oh crap! I just realized I labeled it Dec 6. It should be Jan 6.
Just because their are less people on the road doesn't mean the horrible drivers who are going to kill themselves and others suddenly drive better. They may drive worse and take more risks because their is less traffic on the roads.
