I've been noticing this as I've traveled a fair amount over the past year and just today checked into what would normally be a decent corporate hotel but they are not providing a bunch of services and apparently can't even provide soap in the rooms "because of covid", also the hallway floor apparently can't be vacuumed either "because of covid". Also the rooms can only be cleaned by the staff every other day, "because of covid". Basically the average American is so dumbed down that they actually buy this nonsense when clearly they are trying to cut costs as much as humanly possible and don't give a fuck about covid since I'm pretty sure soap and vacuuming floors would be important if we were really worried about a disease.

I work for an ISP and since august of 2019 had been warning my supervisors there was a serious problem with them equipment they provide to customers. It was brushed aside, said it was no big deal, etc. then covid hit. Everyone stuck at home using their service and they’re finding out just how bad their service is, meanwhile the company is panicking because number of calls are skyrocketing. The company rushes to track down new equipment, but are having a hard time getting, testing, and pushing it out to the customer “because of covid.”
We've basically become a third world country overnight and they use covid to hide it is the way I'm starting to see it
