Not really. Whether they're wrong or right, most of them probably just see it as selfishness and a refusal to listen to science. Either way, it's boring to generalize about the motivations of a large number of people.
You had it, or were you convinced you had it? I had a weird flu back in April of 2020, did I get tested? Hell no. Do I believe it was Covid? I couldn’t say, but it was definitely the weirdest flu I’ve ever had.
I wasn't convinced I had it, I definitely had it. I'm a healthy person, I get a cold every other winter or so. I've never had a flu shot. I had COVID. It wasn't some horrible experience, but it was certainly not a regular flu.
I'd get an antibody test if I were you. If you still have antibodies nearly a year later, that's probably a good sign for you and anyone else that's had it.
My cousin got it back around the New Year, and he's only three or four years older than me. It wrecked him and his wife for nearly two weeks. He was never in any danger of dying or anything, but it seriously kicked his ass. He told me that he can see how it kills people who are old or have health issues on top of Covid.
I'm not particularly worried about my own health in that case, but there's a ton of people out there who are old, fat or otherwise sick in some way. Gotta feel for them.

imagine still believing COVID exists

Well, as someone who's had it I know it exists. You're very arrogant for someone who's wrong about literally every single thing he talks about.

Are you me? This sounds like me.
