The vending machine, insta "95% accurate" tests being sold in public places makes me think there may be something to this. In general it's good advice to not let randos shove things in any of your orifices.
Been worried about this for a while now as well. Had a PCR test back in the summer. I can honestly say I don't feel any different but who knows. I hope that there is enough incentive for the test to just produce false positives and that that's the reason they push so hard for the testing. I sure hope so at least; my work (a school) is pushing for mandatory testing when we return from lockdown
