I accidentally made 6 figures from this already so I'm very interested in this issue. I was a year long holder of AMC waiting for the moment Covid was uncapped and theater opened again. I have lots of stocks waiting still, but the shorts do too.
Some like amazon, apple, and Tesla are really expensive but you can see ehenghe media coordinates price dropping stories all at once. The autists exposed the media tools now, "white supremacists trumpist investors" just for buying and holding gamestop? Nope, they are bankrupting billionaire shorts and the propaganda machine has a limited vocab.
I hope they go after the big 3 shorts and bump their stocks. I don't have to do anything but smile and years of waiting turn into massive profits. It feels good.
Shorting is not a scam.
Shorting more shares than available of a stock? That's a scam.
For the people who want to get rid of short selling, look at any banking stock in 2008/2009 when short selling was banned. Since shorts are contractually obligated to buy stock back, it makes pricing stable versus having no short sellers causing complete pricing crashes.
GET SHORTY
Whenever this douche chimes in you know you’re in a psyop.
Shorting is a Bet. There is nothing different between beating a spread for a fixed amount of money than there is paying a rate to exercise an option.
Options don’t affect the underlying, and they are a viable tool to help hedge bets.
Options contracts are purely consensual and don’t affect others who aren’t a part of that contract.
