If it's being done by Google employees I'm sure this isn't a good thing

'Google not doing enough to counter the dangerous rise in free thought and desire for personal sovereignty'

Just copying the headline, but I would say the inclusion of the word "nearly" is pretty laughable.

Wild prediction: they will be guided to focus almost entirely on social justice equity crap and on Google's mythical contributions to systemic racism/sexism/LGBTphobia etc and fail to actually hold the company accountable for anything meaningful

Now google can say, "sorry about all the censorship, it's our union forcing us too". Then they can get rid of unions to "end" censorship! Of course their diversity initiatives are helping erase unions as well.

This union is reaching out to all the contractors for google as well. They will simply shut down and move to at will states and divest even further into contract labor. Every trade skill person google hires is a contractor already. Their entire logistics chain is contracted out. Google is woke until it hits their bottom line.

Aren't google workers often paid in stock options? Are they really going to do anything that might affect the company's profitability, like ending surveillance capitalism?
