I think they are manmade as well but the patterns are programmed ahead of time digitally. I'm not sure about the mechanism used, maybe some kind of laser tech, but it is something that can act very fast and without much suspicion. I also wonder if it is linked to HAARP, like as in a fake cloud could provide cover for whatever is going on. Whatever the case, they are often fascinating and beautiful. It's a ton of fun to look through crop circle images.
They are rather fascinating. After those guys came forward years ago I had written them off as pranks but I think there might be more to them than a couple of jokers with some wooden planks. I certainly don't think they're of extra-terrestrial origin but definitely man made.
I think a logical explanation is some sort of beam weapon due to the expulsion cavities found in some circles where the plants have been broken from some sort of energy, rather than mechanical action.
This is an interesting read. It mentions an eyewitness account of seeing something suspended in mid air, hidden by cloud cover in an area known for crop circles. Could be BS, could be something. It seems like they would have to operate like a 3D printer head, moving about the "canvas" just blasting directly down rather than staying stationary with a directable beam as there would be overhangs in the designs.

This theory leads to a couple of questions. Why create this tech? Well, having some invisible energy weapon blasting down with point point accuracy would be very handy on a modern battlefield. Why test it on land that was public/not military testing ground/top secret? Plausible deniability. If they're testing this stuff in farmers fields, well, anyone can access these and create these designs. If these keep on appearing on military proving grounds, people are going to notice and they wouldn't be able to blame it on a few artists wandering around in the dark for a laugh.
yeah I agree with all of that. based on the type of damage found to the plants, some sort of overhead beam weapon where the patterns are programmed ahead of time a la 3D printing is likely. could indeed be testing of military tech.
I mentioned lasers before but if it's possible to do it with a plasma gun, I think that would actually be the best candidate, if it is possible to control to a fine precision the amount of crop the plasma would vaporize upon contact. Maybe hidden by an artificial cloud. So someone walking by might look up and see the surreal sight of what looks like a cloud shooting off ball lightning at a crop field.
I have spent many hours looking at photos and some are amazingly beautiful.
Same here, I can look at these for hours. I love the ones with the fractal patterns.
Those ones blow my mind. I do think some of them are photo shopped but many are actually real and people go and take ground level pictures and video.
