Did you know if you give your child ADD/ADHD meds before the age of 9 it can affect their ability to obtain life insurance coverage? Smoking, pro-rated. ADD meds to a kid? Denied coverage. Tried to sell for Globe Life and it made my stomach turn the predatory means they use to get people to sign up. I did learn a lot though.
Not sure but of all the questions on the minor rider (rider, addition to your base policy) that one really bothered me. No one could tell me why that immediately excluded the child from coverage. I had to quit before I sold policies to people. Part of training was to “kill the primary off at least 5 times” ie: what would you do tomorrow if you didn’t come home, how would your wife pay the bills/mortgage/tuitions
Have a soul, couldn’t do it.
So that’s a horrifyingly sad statistic. However, suicide wouldn’t have been the answer to the insurance coverage denial, you don’t get payment for suicide anyway. What does the medication do to small children that is guaranteed to ruin their health or more specifically, guarantee a “natural” death before 65?
