He didn't say "Comet Ping Pong doesn't even have a basement". He said "We don't even have a basement". The basement next door owned by the same guy, with all of the pizza sauce in it, would disagree.
What allegations have I made? Dude says he stores his tomato sauce in the basement next to his pizza place and then claims everyone is crazy because he "doesn't have a basement".

Oh, so you're going to play dumb, and pretend this is just about lying about having a basement?
So they have a basement when they talk about storing tomato sauce, but not when they address the trafficking allegations? Why would he bring up the basement where they store tomato sauce, if not talking about Comet Pizza? He was talking about pizza sauce. Is that enough context for you?
It's a small piece of a much larger story. Have you even looked into any of this?
Context of the quote is an interview where they were talking about Comet, the "we" in the quote is Comet Ping Pong. It's simple grammar.
Yes.

If you apply your rules about "context" to the article where he says "Like our sauce — we harvest a whole crop of organic tomatoes — 10 tons of tomatoes every year. Can them all, store them in the basement, have like a harvest party when it gets loaded in.", then how are you able to include Buck's? The context is clearly pizza, sauce, tomatoes, etc.
You really seem to want to give these people the benefit of the doubt.
Context for me but not for thee?
