I watched it a few times, the best I could figure out is he was tapping the lightbulb against the copper wires to get it to momentarily light up.
I am no scientist... But I imagine if you have an (8 foot vertical coil) and you are anywhere near a padmounted transformer box... I'd imagine you might see some flickering. Plus being near a welders and ballasts.
This is nothing, we are surrounded by energy waves from everywhere.
