I think when folks can exchange their goods and provide services free from govt control, prosperity flourishes which I’d say is a good thing for industrial advancement and prosperity. We’re currently fucked by folks that use the state to control what goods and services are permitted and they do so to grab power. Corporatism has failed us, consumerism has made us slaves but capitalism is a different animal; people will create markets without government intervention, that’s why black markets exist, so capitalism isn’t a political fad like socialism, it’s a natural result of human ingenuity. Just don’t lump capitalism with corporatism and consumerism, then the term is not the scary beast the commies think will enslave us, it’s the medium for individual growth and prosperity.
