so what's currently on jcs.mil is not that?

You're saying how come that kind of important + official message isn't on the news page, right?

To be honest, I don't know. ^^'

People say there could have been some kind of miscommunication between the JCS office and the JS spokesperson's office, which I doubt because Gen. Mark Milley is quite infamous for being a meticulous control freak.
