Interesting, I remember this guy's post. He posted in a couple of threads but nobody could find anything like an actual dead man's switch. He posted a few variations of the same message if I remember right.
A sphere inside a toroid would suggest it generates power through taking advantage of magnetic forces. the spinning of the sphere would interact magnetically with whatever is inside of the torus to generate a potential that could be used to power something if done right. say if like a plasma was inside of the toroid.
like any 'larp' post on 4chan it's probably BS, but this is an entertaining one because it gives so many specifics. I can't find any evidence of a Walter Ashcroft passing away in October 2020. However there was a Wayne Ashcroft who passed on 10/24: https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/hjnews/obituary.aspx?pid=197002184
Maybe he changed the name somewhat for privacy. Wayne was involved in church of LDS - along with mormons they often work in intelligence fields.
