I just wish that Andrew would get his shit together and buy as many servers necessary for when huge amounts of new users pile-in. Gab would easily be #1 if Torba would simply plan ahead for this stuff.

Phone number is a deal killer imo too. It removes all anonymity. People who thought the need for anonymity was silly are realizing now just how wrong they were.
Yeah I remember back in 2017 I got banned from twitter after a heated exchange with a guy whose profile claimed he was a government agency employee, I think it was DHS (the first of like 5 times I've been banned now) and I naively provided my phone number to reactivate the account. not long after that, all of a sudden, I started to receive a ridiculous number of spam calls. those bastards and their tricks. I won't fall for that again.

spam calls are the absolute least they can do to you with that info
