I wouldn't say cause at this point. They were certainly a vehicle. It could be that the orchestrated collapse of Italy's economy, and the damage the euro did to those developing nations that borrowed money from the EU allowed these evil people to make deals that morality previously made impossible.

The only logical answer is that Trump presented a HUGE problem for them. The more I think about this, the more I am convinced that Trump really was a white hat, really trying to MAGA, and destroying this evil cabal. Every other explanation doesn't make sense.
