It seems to mean, and maybe it will ultimately become this way, separating entirely from society and operating on a strictly local basis -- how do we engage with technology and/or the internet and/or globally while avoiding the entities that control the very gateways to any of it? Do we start over?
Do mesh networks avoid giant telecoms and web hosting behemoths? How durable would these be?
