Watching these disgusting politicians speak, they needed something to unify over. I am so sick of this, and I do hope we continue fighting for what is right

As to why it was allowed to happen I don't know. But I do believe POTUS knew this was a possibility, and I base that on the video he released asking people to go home. I think it was pre-recorded. I swear it's sunny in his video but it was an overcast day. Also it's quiet in the background despite chaos unfolding in DC (so sounds of sirens, people, etc).
Got the same feeling - like after doing that one he went on to film another clip saying “Great job, we did it!”. Like some kind of cutscene.
He called them special people and told them he loved them.
