Idk.. I watched it a couple of times and read through the description of it just because of your comments. I don't really see what you mean about the cuts being suspicious. The description of the video said it's sourced from archives in the Smithsonian and, having as little faith in anything presented by them as I do, I went and looked for other sources for this Rev. S.S. Jones and found lots of stuff.
Oklahoma Historical Society is probably the best source, but there's a fewotherstoo.
Honestly, I have NO idea why I feel so invested in this, but it was interesting enough once I got looking through the other footage.
Lol. The Vatican vault contents probably deserves its own post. I had a few good links I'll try to dig up for one, but.. Short and mysterious answer version is that it's probably every bit of knowledge that mankind ever had. The church maintains their power by controlling beliefs, and over the centuries they've hidden away everything they could that might cause someone to question what they push. Its even been said that the entire library of Alexandria might have been moved there (or copies of the documents, at least) before the fire and that knowledge wasn't ever really lost. Hell, as it is, the Bible is only the portion of the collected stories that were selected to be included, so... What's in the rest of stories and why can't we see them and decide for ourselves what to think? Mary Magdalen had a gospel, why's it just the 4 dudes we get to read? How's about some more info on the contraptions in Ezekiel's book? Read some of that with an open mind and try to convince yourself it's NOT about otherworldly intervention.
And the Oklahoma stuff.. Idk about those communities specifically, but in general people have a bad habit of being duped into supporting things that are actually a real shit deal for them (think patriot act as a recent example). The Civil rights movement was no different.
Oh man... You're fairly new at this kind of stuff, huh? Sorry if I'm misinterpreting you. Don't take it the wrong way. Personally, I'd think you were brainwashed if it DIDN'T give you a bad feeling when it was pointed out. That's another whole thread of its own, too.
