OP : the thread was broken up do you happen to know what conclusons this person drew from the evidence ? And what would be the motive ? Who benefits from this elaborate hoax ?

There are many claims but the biggest one seems to be that the event was intended to harness "loosh" energy because of how sad the story is. IIRC the user also claims that the Jonbenet might not have even existed.
