concur - moved to Melb a few years back to chase the "big opportunites" on offer, and thought I caught the wrong flight and got dumped in some dystopian future African shithole instead.
You could see the past glory of this beautiful city beneath the dust and grime - but literally everyone living there is suffering from severe mental disorders of one type or another.
It was once well known for great food, culture and shopping too ... but the sheer lack of standards and ethics is beyond belief. Everything falling apart, everyone out to rip everyone else off and steal from each other. Every person a coward - esp the police.

I used to feel sorry for em under the rule of commie dictator Dan but feel no sympathy now as they have allowed themselves to be controlled and herded like sheep.
