It's exactly similar to a victim of Jeffery Dahmer , who was decapitated and posed like this. But the artist, I think I read somewhere, has either denied that this was the inspiration and said it was something else was; or they've never been explicitly asked about it, and have said something else was the inspiration, like a legend or fable of some kind. I can't quite remember the exact details. It is definitely the Dahmer victim though.
This is their best-known work, but let's not go overboard here. Does anybody know if the arched man is a traditional archetype or something? Cohencidence? Me no art, don't know crap. Do know artist phenotype, though, because met on some faggy afterparty in 2004 or so. No want! Left early!
It has to do with 'Grande Hysterie Full Arch’, one of 19th century French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot’s classifications of hysterical epilepsy. Nothing at all to do with Dahmer.
Isn't it a sculpture of a murder, torture scene. Where the body was found like that on the bed?
