Because he didn't want to stop it from happening. He wanted to expose it and then punish them. If he does bring it to an end it will be his legacy to America.
I've read a theory put forward that the reason the Dems never contested the 2016 election despite their insistence Russia got involved, is because it would have exposed their fraud. That Russia didn't rig the election in favour of Trump, they simply exposed what was going on and allowed a fair result. They de-rigged the election. Trump knows this and so has always known he had to prepare for this moment to catch them in the act and deal with them severely. It would make sense.
And Trump bringing back firing squads for traitors is no coincidence nor the actions of a nice guy. It's all up to him now to deliver
The 2018 EO gave up to 45 days to report on foreign interference. Instead of announcing it prior to 14th December, they are now going to release this on 18th, Friday, the very last day. Instead of enforcing FBI/DOJ to investigate, or at least make sure that whistleblowers, local officials, and judges, are protected, they did jack shit. Why would all three Trump SCOTUS vote against hearing Texas et al case? Because once FBI/DOJ does nothing, and people that do, are getting harassed (see Wayne County certifiers, or in a wider context - Harrison Deal, or even Judge Salas), they probably didn't have much choice. In other words - if DOJ/FBI did their job, SCOTUS would do theirs, and the process would be much cleaner. What do you think will happen now?
