Not global warming, per se, but that our arbitrary dates and times don't mean anything in researching 'the climate'. When I see on the news with the weather green screen whore every day that this specific day were these specific records, it seems meaningless. Just looking for like minds or anyone that has researched this beyond the first few pages of google.

I said this a couple years ago!!! For reference I am talking about Northeast. As a kid i remember it being a lot colder during the fall and then starting to warm up mid March. Now its still 50 - 60s in December won’t warm up til the middle of April
This is approximately the shift I am talking about. Thank you for corroborating.
I completely agree with this and have though it for years!
Thank you
I agree also and have been saying this for a while.
You are kind of old? What is your definition of old? I'm older too. Just want to see what you consider old.
In my 60s
That's not old to me. I'm 52. We are young in our minds!
I guess i was thinking in terms of internets. I am at least 1.3x internets age. Just a caveat that maybe this is covered out there somewhere already and I didnt know about it.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Most people on here are younger than us.
It's leap year. Leap year is designed to keep the seasons relatively in place over the centuries but it isn't perfect so every, like, 8 leap years or something the seasons get off by like a minute or something. It's dumb but it's the best we've got.
I understand leap years, but i think the seasons themselves have shifted somewhat, more than a minute.
Yea, but you're not thinking about how long it's been going on for. Any scientist will tell you that, given enough time, the seasons will shift. It's not a secret.(I don't mean to sound snarky, i'm just trying to be helpful....text sucks for inflection)
Thank you.
It’s real. Seasons had definition years ago. Now they just kind of.... blend. If they feel like it. Also, I’ve noticed many days in the past few years where it gets warmer during the night. Frequently enough to be noteworthy.
