I hate to say it, because it's so interesting, but these are just magic tricks. At 13:43 he breaks a bottle by hitting the top, but this is something anyone can do, including you. The bottle breaks because of the pressure.
And the chopstick thing is a magic trick, too. It's all magic tricks.
ignores the fact he generated current on an ammeter, lit a lightbulb connected to nothing but his fingertips, ignited a newspaper with chi, decelerating a pellet from 500fps to zero instantly with no physical deformation, and literally lives as a healer for his entire life to talk about the video of his student passing the lowest level test in the school (simply included because it is one of four videos in existence relating to the teacher)
John Chang is a doctor and practitioner of Qi Gong in Indonesia. In the late 80's, two British documentarians (Lawrence Blair and his brother Lorne) made a series of what were basically travel documentaries focused on the volcanic islands of Indonesia.
During the filming of these documentaries they stumbled upon a local healer with what appear to be abilities beyond the current understanding of science. The entire collection of known footage, which I highly recommend anyone interested in the title video watch, is here:
In addition to the video footage, in the past westerners have been able to seek out Chang and train under him. A Greek engineer did so for years and wrote a book trying to apply a scientific approach to what he witnessed and experienced. This book really shines an interesting light on not just the what observed in the video, but investigates possible answers for the how as well as just being a highly engrossing book.
I believe John Chang is by far the most convincing case of human potential exceeding the limits set by our current paradigms. A thorough look into him and the mystery around him is able to shine a light on the many dark and seemingly disconnected areas that conspiracy research takes us.
I used to spend time trying to find this energy on my own as a teenager. I found something at some point but as I grew I began to question my understanding of what was actually happening. I started to think that maybe I was giving myself a placebo effect of sorts, unsure as to whether what I was feeling was real or if it was just in my head. Sometimes I think the modern world affects us in ways we can't understand because we've been seperated from our natural selves for so damn long.
The existence of something beyond materialist reductionist reality is undeniable, but unfortunately, what exactly that something is has yet to be proven indisputably.
I absolutely agree with the idea of our modern world cutting us off from that true underlying reality.
The bit with the bottle toward the end is just physics, I've done it many times as a teenager with littered bottles i've found near the creeks. You just need to fill it to just barely below the neck and then get a solid, FLAT seal on it when you slam your hand down(shit fuckin hurts if you do it wrong more than twice in a row) and the air pressure you just created will blow the bottom of the bottle out because the curve from the sides to the bottom is the weakest point. ( I also used to blow glass so I know a thing or two about breaking it)
Yea, no, the bottle was definitely full. On second look, it appears to be some sort of dark colored soda, coke is my guess. You can see the bulk of it fall out immediately and then the carbonation causes it to fizz ( I actually thought it was sand the second time I watched it because of the color which is what made me look closer at it) and all of that falls out and you can see some bubbly fizz still falling off the glass as the video continues on to the next clip.
None of this is to doubt the veracity of the rest of this video. As i've mentioned, I used to spend time searching for this energy when I was younger myself, I just also know from experience that breaking the bottom out of a glass bottle is easy to do once you get the hang of it.
You know what, I’ve spent the last 8+ years thinking that was sand, but I think you’re right.
But legit, that video is one of his western students home video type things, likewise the clip where he “telekinetically” pulls cigarette cartons is another test of the same student (normally impossible for someone of such a low level to achieve actions beyond their body, so the teacher generates a field in which the student can manifest)
I HIGHLY recommend the book i linked in the first comment, a mechanical engineer not only tells a very interesting story of his time with DJ, but tries to fit it into the modern scientific paradigm.
No, i'll have to go back and watch again, I thought I saw a bunch of dark colored fluid fall out of it. In theory, you could do it with an empty bottle if you had enough force and a steel hand but i've never seen it done or tried it myself.

Thanks for the post
No, thank you! I haven't seen this video before, it was great to see. Has me thinking about finding that feeling again.
Awesome man!! Downloaded it already.

Ok but you can clearly see the bottle has no liquid in it? And like I said to the other guy, that was by far the least of the demonstrations
