This does not happen supporting that planes dont use alot of jet fuel. Plus if they only had enough jet fuel to get to their destination, what would happen if there was flight difficulty, they had to change routes because of weather, power, or whatever problems they might occur? So if that where the case, there would be more plane crashes cause they ran outta fuel. I dont think thats ever happened in commercial flight.

there are different models off 777, my sources claim with one its fuel tanks are nearer 50k, you know there lots of smaller tanks (or so they claim) so not just the main fuselage tank, In my opinion -yes its probably closer to 3 k, to have giant pools of liquid on an airplane does seem kinda silly.

i dont ignore, my reply was specifically why your anger is unwarranted and ridiculous. i have multiple sources that say a 777 tank capacity is up to 50k gallons of gas depending on model. I also have multiple sources saying 2500 commercial departures a day, i doubt many Cessna are using Ohare, do you have a source that claims that - id like to see it . Sure maybe a few private jets use that, but i dont think they count in that #. Also this number is pre Covid - departures might be down alot now.

if one 777 takes 50k+ gallons to fill up, your saying was of the busiest airport in London only fills up 16 planes. Sure 800k gallons is more reasonable, but that would be supporting my claim - because planes use very little gas I said my math is based one 2500 plane departures from Ohare per day , = 150 million gallons a day, lets say its 1/3rd that or even 1/15th , that must mean planes use far less fuel than they claim. even being off say 100 million gallons, and lets conservatively . say 50 million gallons a day - thats 2-3 ship oil tankers full of crude or if by rail 44 gallons of gas = 1 barrrel of oil, and a train tanker can hold about 700 barrels of oil, so 50million/44 - 1,136, 353 barrels/day and that dived by 700 = 1600 train tankers which = 16x mile long trains , every day, just for airport gas. Highly unlikely.

The other problem is we have the thrust to weight ratio of the plane, modern jet engines dont have enough thrust to account for the weight of the gas tanks.
