Dems have a majority in the house & all bills need to originate in the House. So, what's the problem? I see... you don't actually know how our laws are passed. Got it.
This is why basic civics should be a requirement for 6th grade graduation.
And your first born, of course - for the fires of Moloch!
Pretty much. I don't think a lot of the people on this board understand how laws & budgets have to originate in the Dem controlled House. I just dropped in from TD to see if there were any good conspiracies & found a bunch of low info voters trying to figure out basic civics. It's a start I guess, but disturbing too.
They have, literally months ago. Nancy wouldn't allow the bills to the floor of the House for a vote. Sure blocked money to Abeyance for months.
CIVICS 101
- STEP 1: Such bills must originate in the House.
- STEP 2: Once approved by House, bill goes to Senate.
- STEP 3: Once approved by Senate, bill goes to President.
When Dems control the House, they rarely allow Republican bills to come to the floor for a vote. (Nancy Pelosi's retarded version of patriotism prevents her from allowing any bill she hasn't added pork to, to come up for a vote.) The bill vetoed by POTUS was written by K-Street rather than our legislators because our legislators have handed over lawmaking & budget writing to their donors.
You're joking right? No, people who think the minority in the House can block a bill or even bring a bill to the floor without the approval of the majority leader (Spkr) need civics ?
