Also, I have noticed that a bunch of my old comments, posts, and their submission statements have been shadow banned. Wondering why.

When I log into Reddit this fine Sunday afternoon, a rather curious occurrence befell my keen gaze. Lo and behold, a bunch of my comments including some of the submission statements to my own posts had mysteriously vanished into the digital abyss, all without a courteous whisper of notification. Fine. Do your corporate things, Reddit. Still, it managed to pique my interest about which comments and submission statements of mine they have removed. So, I checked.

Amidst the virtual scrolls of deletion on reveddit, one particular 'shadow banned' comment stood out, because it reads nothing special. Somewhat mundane disposition even. I started to wonder what humble components of this comment could have stirred the algorithmic custodians to such censorious action.

It was a comment I made for the post, created by u/almostover1, "The Diplomat's Daughter: Naomi Irion (18 y.o.) found dead yesterday, went missing March 12. Lyon County Police LIE about "Secret Witness" program--"All police across the US are connected to it" (Mar 17) Entire handling of case inconsistent." [LINK to the post]
The comment was:
So, there's a guy who is a system analyst for a multinational chemical company and the US State Department, stationed in South Africa.
His daughter moved back to the stateside last year to live with her brother who was a nuclear machinist in the Navy and now works for Apple.
Unlike the daughter, (probably because of his job) he stays and still lives in South Africa with his wife + his three adopted Ukrainian sons.
Then, the daughter went missing and found dead.
We got some interesting key words here: Chemical company, Nuclear machinist, and the US State Department. Maybe, Ukraine as well. And my guess is that the victim's father's job entails performing process analysis. Maybe those are nothing. Just coincidence. Hm.
He used to be stationed in Germany, I think. u/almostover1 Do you know when he was transferred to South Africa?

So, naturally, I looked up the name "Naomi Irion" on Google, the name I must confess I couldn't even begin to connect to any of the significant recollections. Interestingly, Google search informed me that Troy Driver, the man accused of murdering Naomi Irion, committed suicide in jail while awaiting trial.

About a week later after the suicide,
the local sheriff's office came out and officially released the details surrounding the kidnapping and murder of Naomi Irion and the suicide of suspect Troy Driver.
Aug. 16, 2023 - Police: Troy Driver attempted suicide two times prior, left confession note in Naomi Irion's brutal killing [Archived LINK]
During the press conference, the county sheriff said "I have seen the insurmountable evidence against Troy Driver. I know that Troy Driver was a coward who preyed on the vulnerability of an innocent young woman Naomi Irion. And Troy Driver proved himself to be the coward I knew him to be when he took his own life instead of facing justice."
The sheriff also didn't forget to comment that this was not the suspect's first attempt at suicide.
