The laws are getting so lax around this stuff and the companys so cheap. Im surprised it doesnt happen more. I did find out though, they didnt need to vaporize all that shit in the palistine derailment, but im sure it was the cheapest way of getting rid of it.

On a side note, I spent alot of time on here talking about the piketon uranium enrichment plant..... lol imagine my shock this morning reading that this site is going to become the only producer of enriched uranium in the states. Maybe those dreams I had about nuclear explosions coming form there might come true yet! In a war, this would be the spot to blow up.

They spent 30 years trying to build a "centrifuge" that never worked. Tried again in 2019.

In 2019, Centrus Energy started building a cascade of centrifuges to enrich uranium on a parcel of land at the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Those centrifuges started operating in October.

And now they are going to build thousands of them, potentially.

“Today, we have 16 huge centrifuges running [in Piketon], producing HALEU for advanced reactors. That facility has a footprint roughly the size of the Pentagon. Our goal is to be able to scale it up with thousands of additional centrifuges so that we can meet the full range of U.S. requirements for both low-enriched uranium for the existing fleet of reactors in the United States and around the world, but also this new, advanced reactor fuel, HALEU, which is going to be needed for the next generation of advanced reactors.”

WHAT THE FUCK, LOL last i posted about this, they were still in the process of decommissioning the plant, now its going to become the heart of it all.

I just have a hard time wrapping my head around it. There must be more going on at that plant than what is being told. I grew up next to it, so I am biased I guess, but its just a strange place. Grew up with alot of kids whos dad's were scientist at the facility. Waverly schools which is next to piketon, just happens to be located next to a huge transformer, power sub station, within about a 1000 yards. I always thought this was a fucking bizarre place to put all the school aged kids....

If you change it to the satellite view youll see the substation is quite big. I always wondered if it was an experiment the big wigs are running..

The plant itself, which is actually quite massive...just a little south of waverly.
