I completely agree about politeness, I don't think most people realize how close to chaos society has become and one of the few things holding that dam back is being polite. Honesty as a tool of being malicious in my opinion is better than dishonesty in a flattering or polite manner. We are adults, people should be able to differentiate between the two but nuance is lost on most because they paint in very broad strokes, like a circuit I'd rather them fail open with Radical Honesty than fail closed with disingenuous, dishonest behavior.
