text from post: I looked up the Carrington effect. It’s about a solar flare that happened about 150 years ago. It was so massive, it knocked out our primitive electrical grid. While solar flares are not abnormal, a massive solar flare has the potential to do untold damage. It’s not a matter of “if” we get a Carrington size flare, it’s a matter of when.

I do not know much about this. Looking up information, I found that we have had unusually aggressive, solar activity over the last month. There have been some minor flares that have caused the damage. If the information above is true, there was a massive coronal mass ejection yesterday. Typically it takes about 18 hours for the effect to get to earth. The flare itself did not come right at us, but we will be in its path in a few days.

The CME happened, documented. The discussion on the solar blog says it’s beautiful, but not going to hurt us, yet it looks like information about it is being censored. Why?
