I have done work with their datasets. Public datasets are shit on purpose when they are made available, and frequently missing.
Name me a single governemtn body which has a superlative experience....its laughable to even try, but waste your time and go for it.
I have looked at NOAA's datasets and used their data....its OLD As FUCK!
Most of it was establish in 1984......then updates 1990, and 1999, and 2001 or so....
then its all from military specifications....universal standards, etc...
Those datasets are sparse...and designed for "Regeneration".
GPS....So...sure...grab a magellan...lmao
