consider CBD oil as your 2ag/cb1 receptors have been downregulated (dry drunk syndrome, can't feel happy for a few months to a few years after stopping). Lazarus naturals has been my goto for years, good veteran/disability discounts. It's what many of us on the autism spectrum use (I used to drink alcohol daily to deal with it all).

Also, aminos, DLPA helped me the most. I use powder as it's cheaper but 2 of these works great and it's still fairly cheap compared to prescriptions. Polygana the best herb I've ever taken, you feel the effects pretty strong. Aminos are underrated.

Agmatine: 1g twice a day, stops the brain receptor from releasing the chemicals responsible for depressive/PTSD feelings. See this reddit post for the pubmed studies - https://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/ht9hvr/agmatine_sulfate_miracle_substance_with_endless/

Agmatine stops the recptors that give negative emotions and get you to neutral, then the others for positive reinforcement (Alcar, dlpa, or the polygana). These combos can also treat bipolar, ptsd, etc)

ALCAR: 1g in the AM, gives energy and mood boost, produces positive emotions and allows to push through work and exercise better.

DLPA: 1g in the late afternoon as the ALCAR is wearing off since this is also for mood and producing positive feelings, this makes all 5 senses feel better, even makes food taste better. I found it in the book "Mood Cure."

NAC: 1g as needed for OCD/irritability, or addiction issues, stops mental cravings, also good for allergies (often prescribed at 600mg for mucus/lungs)

Glycine: 3g before bed for deep REM sleep, many are deficient in this from eating meat without cartilage, also magnesium is good to add to this before bed.

Magnolia Extract: half tsp to target GABA, nasty taste so get pills if you can’t stand a strong bitter taste, good for panic attacks, feels like a small amount of xanax.

Polygala Tenuifolia: to target the same receptors as ketamine (NMDA) that clinics now use for depression and mood, this being a natural herb used in Chinese medicine that’s safe and non-addictive.
