When I said read the paper I meant the whole paper not just the abstract. They purchased wild-type SARS-CoV-2 strain 2019-nCoV/Italy INMI1 and propagated in VeroE6 (ATCC-CRL1586) cell culture. The purchased purified HEK293 cell derived RBD antigen from Sino Biological. They used Human anti-SARS-CoV-2 Spike IgM Antibody CR3022 (Native Antigen Oxford UK) and Anti Spike RBD SARS-CoV-2 human monoclonal antibody as positive controls in an RBD specific ELISA test.

Aside from all of that, just the fact that only 10% of the samples were testing positive shows they were not detecting antibodies to common coronavirus.
