One thing I'd think he'd want to do if he truly thinks there is "snake venom" would be to obtain vials of vaccine and remdesivir (shouldn't be too hard for a doctor with his connections) and test them using some protein identification techniques.

It would be a pretty routine process to check a protein's amino acid sequence against those of known toxins (including snake venom) to see what is there if anything.
