Well, Jupiter/Jove, really. The romans and their NAMBLA club, coopted and adopted Christianity when it became too hard to resist its popularity... and viola! Catholicism.

I have more sympathy for Satan than most, because I realize I would’ve done the same thing in my pride, ego, and arrogance. I admittedly bear some misanthropist attitudes, and If I were an angel, I would’ve turned my nose and tried to raise an army against my own master. I fully realize that God/Great Spirit was/is Good and Evil, and to shed the skin of evil was something God could not do. It isn’t natural. Yin and Yang both have a little dot of the counterpart within them. To purge itself/himself of the destructive, violent nature of evil, he had to take his spark and bear a son, who would live free of sin and be sacrificed, and be raised from the dead. God needed man to fall so he could truly save them, give mankind true liberty, freedom, choice, autonomous thought. In this respect, I admire Satan the stooge, and only imagine he is the one who feels betrayed, when he was the betrayer. I will never bow to Lucifer, bringer of light. My allegiance is with Christ alone. I know I would’ve eaten that fruit until the juice ran down my chin, and this is why I love Christ, because he still loves me even though my spark is corrupted and weak when I stray and embrace the temporal human experience above things eternal. When Christ returns, good will be separated from Evil forever and ever.
