OK, NASA lies, is that something new that government agency lie? There are no any government agency that does not lie.

What's the point?

More interesting is why the "critical thinkers" "research" is much worse than lie itself. Some photoshop to create a collage from low-resolution NASA pictures and images from internet that really prove nothing?

Well, let me think, that I as critical thinker would do to prove Mars rover is on Devon Island.

  1. Find an image from NASA raw image database with clearly identifiable large objects.
  2. Using objects from image as reference points, find a possible place of photoshooting on Devon Island, say, on Google maps.
  3. Go to Devon and do a photo of same landscape with much higher resolution than NASA image.
  4. Show that my photo show same landscape as NASA image, but have much higher resolution.
  5. Share exact coordinates of point of shooting for everybody who want to check my research.

That will be undeniable and verifiable proof that NASA fake Mars photos.

However, it is still unclear, what is the point of such research. It will only prove that NASA lies about their Mars exploration program, nothing more. But that is a well-known fact, since the time they show their first wrong-colored images picturing Mars as a red planet with clear red sky for unknown reason. That is obvious, that on any planet with any composition of atmosphere, clear sky should be blue, due to Rayleigh scattering of sunlight on atmosphere atoms, that is independent from atmosphere composition.

Does that prove that humans can't send a drone to Mars? Absolutely not. We have all necessary tech to do it. The correct question should be "Why we still have no any habitable Mars bases and regular Earth-Mars flights in 21 century?", not "Did NASA land a drone on Mars?".
