It brings up some Cassandra Truths (first published in 2014, the thesis unfolded "The Rhetoric of Cable News," arguing the rhetorical construction of Cable News outlets as a corporate entity first, and being disseminated on monopolistic systems controlled by the same.mega-corpos will lead to an Apperatus that can redefine reality and create a virtual hegemony where narrative dominance and exclusion of competing rhetoric on a similar scale would lead to a corporate fascist mega-oligarchy. They own the airwaves, the equipment, the channels, and even create the very products they advertise and you buy. It's hegemony on a virtual scale and it's terrifying.

It was well-regarded but too technical and dry and nobody was thinking in those terms then. Of course, come 2016 onward I'm a prophet, but...

Anyway, thank you for the interest. I can discuss it a bit further if you'd like. Really I disown it because some.of the major schools of thought I used to draw my conclusions (post-structuralism specifically), I no longer adhere to or promote. My conclusions rain cogent, however.
