I considered it, and it is absurd fantasy. Let's consider its premises. Sending soldiers to go study geology of an alien planet? Why? But anyway, Serpo has been debunked as a a hoax. A well-written, not by amateurs, hoax. I've read Serpo technical descriptions and they are baloney. Engine systems that use a neutral gas to control antimatter? There is no matter that is neutral that way. Matter is either regular matter or antimatter. There is no in-between. It doesn't work that way.

Other descriptions mention an unknown element that is like zinc, but isn't zinc. Well, we currently have very good chemical knowledge of elements and their isotopes, and it would have been achieveable even back decades ago to analyze materials for atomic structure. So I'm not buying like zinc but not zinc, nor neutral matter 'gas' buffering antimatter.

The Serpo accounts descriptions of alien biology are just laughably bad. The aliens having an organ that functions both as heart and lungs? Wholly unrealistic for many reasons. Friendly ET-like alien? Give me a break.

The whole hoax has whoppers embedded in it. No, this whole thing is for credulous foolish people. My take is it is a government-created hoax done to confuse maybe the Russians.

However, there is plenty of evidence that Earth actually has been visited by aliens and it probably continues to happen.
