Are... you serious or trolling? That is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. Are you thinking of elevation changes?
The earth supposedly curves 8 inches in a mile.. and you are hiking half that distance... the elevation changes on a hike through the woods would completely negate any compensation you made for such a slight amount of proposed curvature LMAO
