Your article says 80% of adults meaning not including children. I have read a couple others in the 50% range, but here are two saying 60% for adults.

If you include children in the total it's probably that the population of vaxxed are at about 50%.

I tend to believe the total of adults is 60%

60% of the eligible population meaning not including children.

So 60% of adults vaxxed, 40 are unvaxxed.

But they are including children when they talk about how many cases there are so it's tricky and doesn't translate straight across.

None of those kids are contributing to the total number of vaxxed cases. All children are contributing to the unvaxxed cases so you would think there would be way more cases in the unvaxxed group.

When they are taking about covid cases that count children and say that children are very susceptible to the delta strain yet children aren't vaccinated. They are a large part of the group of cases that is unvaxxed. Even though they are supposedly much more susceptible to the delta variant fully vaccinated adults still more susceptible to the variant and end up making 50% of the cases.

I think if you were to remove kids from the equation to just compare age groups it would probably make it to where 70-80 percent of delta cases were in the vaccinated group.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_vaccination_in_Israel

"As of June 26th 2021 About 64% of eligible Israelis have received at least one dose (and a world-leading 60% with two doses), making Israel one of the populations with the highest vaccination rates in the world per capita."

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1202074/share-of-population-vaccinated-covid-19-by-county-worldwide/

"As of June 23, 2021, almost 61 percent of the population of Israel had been given at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination. This statistic shows the percentage of population in select countries worldwide that had received a COVID-19 vaccination as of June 23, 2021."

So just summarize for clarity, when they are talking about percentage of people vaxxed they are only talking about adults.

But when they are talking about percentages of people becoming infected with covid they are talking about all age groups.

If you remove kids from the comparison altogether it would only make the percentage of vaccinated delta cases rise, and the unvaccinated percentage of delta cases would be even lower.

80% of adults which is roughly 57% of the population including children.

When they are taking about covid cases that count children and say that children are very susceptible to the delta strain yet children aren't vaccinated. They are a large part of the 43% that is unvaxxed. Even though they are supposedly much more susceptible to the delta variant fully vaccinated adults still more susceptible to the variant and end up making 50% of the cases.
