Midazolam is VerSed, commonly used during surgeries in the US. Its called "twilight" anesthesia in dental procedures. It wipes your memory and makes you very, very, compliant. It is often used for that purpose alone. Nurses don't need to respect your modesty or take proper care of you after a procedure because you won't remember. Anesthesiologists dont need to manage pain, same reasons. Won't remember. It is one of the date rape drugs. Has a terribly high cognitive injury rate (read a story of a docto giving up her practive because she was never the same after getting it for a colonoscopy). It's terrible stuff and is not necessary for surgeries. Causes rage and other strange behavorial episodes in a number of patuents, especially at higher doses. Reject it, always. It will often be offered as something to "relax" you before procedures. Do 20 minutes of resesrch into people's experience with it and you'll make sure you never have it too. It's a completely unnecessary medication. YOU ARE COMPLIANT on versed, with no memory. Think about that in the hands of evil, or even non caring selfish people.
