I don’t think they claim that viruses are dead cells, my understanding of their argument was that when cells in “diseased” tissue (aka tissue suffering toxicosis) die, the body, as part of its homeostatic “clean up operations”, collects this toxic refuse (poisonous substances, and rotting flesh), and bundles it up in what have heretofore been called “viruses”, to aid in flushing it from the body without spreading the waste around and causing further negative effects. This is the thesis of the video, and you will need to actually see their argument in order to have an informed discussion.

Regarding the claims about mold, I think they are just recontextualizing something that everyone acknowledges, which is that “rot” begins inside a dead (cell/animal), from the microflora naturally present which can now reproduce without the restraint normally imposed by a living beings immune system.
