Air ? No. How light travels without air ?

Air is gas particles composed of atoms - (oxygen & nitrogen & other ), light is photons much, much smaller "particles" (if naming smaller things than atoms "particles" have even sense, those quantum wave-corpuscular nature of particle is really mindblowing and "against common sense")

And answering next probable question: atom is mainly hollow/empty, so enough photons get through. Not all however. More atoms on the way -> less photons get through.

And answering next probable question: so why light not comes through our bodies ? It is wave length (wave-corpuscular nature of light and other electromagnetic radiation). While air is mostly transparent for light waves our bodies are not.But our bodies are more transparent for example to x-rays (but if those x-ray crash with atom in your body... sometimes even small mutation in cell)

It also explains why it is useful to wear leaden apron during some x-ray medical photo, why those leaden doors and so on in bunkers, why bunkers shall be deep underground or so - most of radiation can be stopped. Not all,but enough.

But wait the moment: it is indeed good question how it travels through "empty space". Well - current physics fear to refer to former old "compromised" idea of aether, but in simple view vacuum could be treated as other kind of relativistic aether. - it is simplified of course.

And well: after reading this wiki page - it is indeed maybe genius idea worth reconsidering in physics like Bohm interpretation of Quantum Physics (meaning non-local hidden variable quantum theories).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aether_theories

But most of you probably not understand it,even despite the fact I am not some physics genius or so (come on - I had never tried to calculate any of those fancy quantum equations ever - so I feel myself stoneman too - uga buga huga... ;) ).

However: People... you still have problems with basic physics course XD

You know,it is probably wrong to "promote piracy" (it is claimed theft by some companies and people), maybe even not allowed by .win therms of service - but there are webpages with pirated physics books and not only such books. If your schools and teachers were so complete piece of shit they not explained it to you - you still can and probably should try to educate yourself...

By the way - your kids using proper manuals during homeschooling can maybe learn more than in school - if kept in check they are learning.
