It's a motion to dismiss. In a defamation case, Dominion will have to show they've actually been damaged by her comments. If Powell's theories are so outrageous then the lawsuit would be dismissed.

She's arguing that if her theories are so crazy and defamatory then Dominion couldn't have been harmed because they're so crazy that no reasonable person would believe them, and thus, Dominion could not have suffered harm. The article is written quite cleverly.

Dominion either has to accept that her theories are believable enough, as in actually possible, in order for them to be defamed. So which is it, Dominion?

Insane, absurd conspiracy theories that couldn't possibly be true? Or worthy of a defamation suit?
