The end times counter church, which revolted against the Catholic and removed its laws, is the whore of Babylon hence why the whore is described as clothed in scarlet and purple, and having wine. It part of the beast but not the beast which actually outlasts the whore of Babylon. There is a distinction between the pagan religion that is called Babylon and the earthly head of states that is called beast. The most significant verse for this is Revelations 13

And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy. 2 And the beast, which I saw, was like to a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his own strength, and great power. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were slain to death: and his death's wound was healed. And all the earth was in admiration after the beast. (Revelations 13:1-3)

Here the beast rising out of the sea is the EU and seven heads are the seven priest-kings of the Vatican city-state established by the Lateran Treaty. The only Catholic heads were Pope Pius XII and Pope Pius XII. The rest were antipopes that revolted and replaced the Catholic Church with paganism but kept the earthly kingdom that is the Vatican city-state. Combined all of these are seven heads of state:

1. Pope Pius XI

2. Pope Pius XII

3. John XXIII

4. Paul VI

5. John Paul I

6. John Paul II (The one that suffers a deathly wound)

7. Benedict XVI (would remain a short time)

Furthermore the beast, that is the EU, is explained as having risen when five are fallen, one is, and one is yet to come.

7 And the angel said to me: Why dost thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast which carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns 8 The beast, which thou sawest, was, and is not, and shall come up out of the bottomless pit, and go into destruction: and the inhabitants on the earth (whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world) shall wonder, seeing the beast that was, and is not. 9 And here is the understanding that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, upon which the woman sitteth, and they are seven kings: 10 Five are fallen, one is, and the other is not yet come: and when he is come, he must remain a short time. (Revelations 17:8-10)

Since John Paul II is already king, he could not be the beast that rises out of hell. It is the beast that was pagan Rome but is not pagan Rome, which is the EU that rose during JPII’s reign. It suffered a mortal wound by Constantin and was brought back from hell under the sixth king.

The wounding of the beast is understood to be both pagan Rome and John Paul II. Pagan Rome suffered a mortal wound at hands of Constantin and was seemingly dead but was brought back to life.

Furthermore, Babylon will die before the beast. Showing that while the head of state were closely connected, the EU is regarded as a separate entity which will have ten kings to give it aid.

And the ten horns which thou sawest, are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but shall receive power as kings one hour after the beast. 13 These have one design: and their strength and power they shall deliver to the beast. (Revelations 17:12-13)

Finally, the whore is called a great city

16 And the ten horns which thou sawest in the beast: these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her with fire. 17 For God hath given into their hearts to do that which pleaseth him: that they give their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which thou sawest, is the great city, which hath kingdom over the kings of the earth. (Revelations 17:16-18)

And in Revelations 18:21

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone, as it were a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying: With such violence as this shall Babylon, that great city, be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

In 1 Peter 5:13 Rome is called Babylon hence why the whore is called “of Babylon”.

The church that is in Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you: and so doth my son Mark.

So the Vatican II, which revolted against the Catholic Church, is the city of Babylon or the whore of Babylon because it commits spiritual fornication with all the religions and false doctrines of the world. The beast that was, and is not, is the EU which we know because it rose during the reign of the sixth king of the Vatican city-state.

I also use the word revolt intentionally because the Bible describes the ordeal as such in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

3 Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition 4 Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.

The Vatican II was the revolt and the man of sin was John Paul II, who claimed to be god and on October 27th, 1986 gathered all the false religions of the world in the temple of God.

In the inter religious movement, Oct. 27, 1986 stands out as a landmark moment when Pope John Paul II convened representatives of the world’s religions to gather at the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, Italy to pray together for the first time in history.

The World Day of Prayer for Peace at Assisi was the most visible expression of John Paul’s conviction that all truth is related to the one Truth, who is God.

It was on his first homily that he declared man is god and that the Vatican II is an entirely new religion.
